My motto is that I would give the same care and respect to my own grandparents as my clients/consumers in community care. Be punctual, respectful, and patient and you will always see a person smile or show gratitude for
assisting in improving their quality of life.
During lockdown we were all feeling isolated, unable to see friends and family. I soon realised that some days I was the only person that certain consumers would see. I felt a certain amount of guilt that I was spending
time with our wonderful and gents, while their family missed out. Over time, I became a photographer of milestones and moments, for the consumers to send photos to their loved ones.
What a privilege it is to be allowed into the homes of others and help them maintain their independence.
There has not been a day since I’ve started working for Regal where I’ve felt a lack of support. At Regal, regardless of time and place, there is always someone to call, whether it’s the staff in the office, or your
fellow nurses – there is support available all the time. It is safe to say that I love working for Regal and I’m forever grateful for all the support that I’ve received on this journey so far. Looking forward to many
more years to come!
